Process

Each tapestry is woven by hand, on a frame loom. 

For larger pieces, I sometimes use a custom-made rigid heddle to simplify my process.

Frames are handmade by me and my husband, Kevin.

Once the piece is woven, I sew the back of the piece to increase its structural integrity.

I then add decorative stitching to the front of the piece, using materials like ribbon, cotton string, wool roving, and recycled silk.
